This is mine. Yours. This says your header sits too high for the rear for sure. Mine for reference. They sit flush with one another.

Yep that's what I recall it looking like... Sadly after heating it thuroughly and bending it back into nearly the right place. Verified by installing and inspecting the ends being dang close to flush I let it cool naturally and it retracted back up |

Loosen all 4 flange nuts, try rotating it some since there's a tiny bit of play there and see if it will line up that way. Another possible option is to open up the flange bolt holes a tiny bit for more rotation. (Message edited by d_adams on April 24, 2012) |

I've heard of termotape warp pipes in XB |

I think this was more related to me modding the OE can and not supporting it correctly putting upward pressure on it. |

This is what I told you about the other day. Stock header at the flange is 1.25" (30 mm) so I'm going to up it a bit. It looks like it will be entertaining trying to make this size fit. It's 1.5" or 38.1 mm.

it'll be tight dean, but that's the challenge this one was 1 3/8" are those do-nuts from pro-werks? (Message edited by albert666 on April 25, 2012) |

Yeah, they are and I think they'll work ok. The tightest available radius I found so far (besides the donuts) was 2.25" or thereabouts. I'd like it a bit smaller if I can get it. They're a little pricey at $100 a pop, so I only bought 4 for now. Should be enough to make a few sets if I get carried away with this. I looked for mandrel bent metric tubing a little, but it's not something widely carried over here I guess. I kinda wish I had my own cnc mill here, the guy I asked to make the flanges is taking his sweet time. I almost think I could have done them on a manual mill by now and I'm not a machinist. |
