Ok so I have done some searching and can't seem to figure out what the difference is between a TPS reset and a TPS zero. Any info would be great. Thanks.

They are both one and the same. What you do is you back out idle screw till the throttle body is 0% open, then when you press the Reset TPS button, it tells the ECM that it is now at zero, and bases the fueling off of that. From there you increase the idle screw to allow the bike to run and then set the idle accordingly.

Thanks Froggy the link answered it perfectly. So now my question is since I have a 2008 and a 2006 and Ecmspy is no longer free do I have any choice but to get paid software to read my ecm and do a TPS reset on my 2006 XB9s?

You can still find the old free version floating around on the internet. The author of the program wishes that I do not post links, so you are on your own, but Google will help you out. Version 1.12.27 is the final version and is what you want.
