I just drove home a used blast engine for $400 that is in better condition that my original engine. go figure. Plus just to make you guys sick, I only payed 3k for the XB12 that is in near brand new condition, 12k miles, one owner, all dealer serviced. Needs new fuel pump, headlight bulb, and turn signels and thats it. I'm investing in assless chaps cause I know I'll be shitting myself on the XB12.... |

Put a XB primary cover on my BLAST ... "SO", if a XB primary cover will fit, IMHO the XB primary chain adjuster would fit in the BLAST primary cover ... The FIRST CLUE that you are, or have been adjusting the primary chain TOO TIGHT is the EXCESSIVE WEAR ON THE PLASTIC that rubs on the primary chain ... |

This may be late and the word may already be out, but I got a call from Chris at SuperBrace and he said mine was ready. So my thoughts are they are ready with all those that put in orders? I didn't ask and am at work at the moment. It would be worth a call to see if your order is ready. |

they are a completely different shape than the sportster. so those wont work. the xb primary cover will bolt up cept for one bolt at the top that in a slightly different location. you could probably use the xb gasket in a pinch but I'd use the blast gasket if possible |

Unless Buell updated the primary gasket after my 06 was assembled, the latest XB primary gasket is a better over all design. The XB gasket is rubber coated metal compared to the paper design of the Blast. Also, the 1 bolt hole that is different is up under the starter and you can keep 1/2 of the gasket material from around the original bolt hole, if you are good with a pair of dikes. If you are worried about it leaking you could use a pea sized dab of gasket maker/ case sealer. |

1 quart. you should not be able to tighten bolt all the way. If you use a wrench you might not feel the tension. loosen it, start the bike, and tighten it by ear. |

Would more than likely be a very worn or broken shoe (which is very common from overtightening). The Blast uses the same primary chain they've used on Sportsters for 50 years. You'd really have to try very hard to stretch it out that much. |
