Tim....your Buell is cheap thrills compared to that line-up. It should be interesting to hear your comments comparing two or four wheels after the track day in May.

Yesterday I place a down payment on a new (used) 1125R. The bike is at a Buell dealer near Pittsburg. The down side is, I cannot pick it up until after I return from Belgium in a couple weeks.

i went with the barker for a few reasons:
1) i like the sound. loud, deep, throaty growl. [no quiet core]
2) it's in the same position as the stock, under the bike.
3) it's black coated, which i liked better than the shiny silver ones
4) it's made by a guy over in bad axe, michigan. [no joke... bad axe!]
5) i like their 'horse' logo, goes nice with the buell pegasus logo.

There are many restaurants within 1 mile of the office. Most are located on or near Rt. 83. Girodano's has a large restaurant near the office. I could make reservations there and possibly preorder some Pizza if everybody is up for it.

Nice move on the "R"! I will be available for meetings in a month of two, perhaps even riding there on the "ole gurl" should everything continue to proceed as it has recently. What is the latest on the Memorial Day Autobahn trackday? Are the full track deals gone?

Hey everybody, my 2000 M2 was making a pretty nasty knocking, so i took it in and it turns out the rod bushing on the crank is non existent. Not good, gonna need a complete rebuild or a motor transplant.
Anyone know anybody selling one of these motors?

Zac, sorry to hear about your motor. I am always lurking for motorcycle related items on ebay, craigslist and other forums.....and can tell you that a motor will show up sooner or later. It just depends if you're willing to wait. I have pulled the motor out of my other HD bikes for rebuilds over the years, and suggest that might be the quickest and cheapest way to get a working engine. I always let a competent dealer rebuild my motors, I don't do it myself, or it would never get done. Good luck!

Do you still own the Triumph 675? If so, you've got time to wait for the Buell repair.

SlimeyCrudRun is coming...Sunday May 6th. This is alway a fun ride. It is a long day but a great one!!!

I'll propose the schedule we've used in the past:

sunrise: about 6am

8:15am - Meet at Belvidere toll plaza oasis off I-90 near Rockford for fuel stop and breakfast snack. Everyone ready to depart by 8:30am.

8:30am - 10:30am ride from Belvidere toll to Pine Bluff, WI.

11:30am to 1:30pm - ride from Pinebluff to Leland (2 hours or so).

1:30pm to 2:30pm - have snack in Leland, check out bikes, ride more, whatever.

Head back to Chicago area 3:30pm

Sunset = approx 8pm

Home by 8pm or so
