I used the Michelin Pilot Power all of last year. I liked it quite a bit. Great track day use. Was getting about 6k out of a set. They are also pretty cheap, about $200 a set. |

Michelin Pilot Powers are a decent tire. Have a set on my CBR at the moment, but havent had them on long enough to test the ware for that kind of mileage they get(mine only have about 1000-1500 miles and 2 track days on them right now). However, They are pretty grippy, and decent for use at the track. I have not rain tested... I have regular Pirelli Diablos on my Buell right now, and I'm not the biggest fan of them as they arent as grippy in the corners...not too confidence inspiring. They are a good tire for back and forth to work, but I dont feel comfortable with them for high speed cornering, but they have about 7000 on them and are just about ready for replacement. |

I'm working on my second set of Diablos. I'm happy with them. Bart I just booked the last room at the lodge. |

Thanks for the tire feedback. Doug, won't be long before people will be hitting you up to share. |

Cj, Speaking of sharing, you should have called when you were in Carlsbad. You could have crashed at my place instead of camping at White city. |

OH, yeah... I guess I forgot you lived there. Actually, it wasn't too bad camping, but it was a bit chilly. And I thought that $20 for a tent space was kinda high. |

Do any of you guys have headsets, or any experience with them? any brands you prefer? Stacey is toying with the idea of taking her own bike up for Springfast, and I thought it would be a good idea to get headsets... |

I used to have the Cardo Scala G2, and they worked very well. the latest and greatest is this model: http://www.cardosystems.com/scala-rider/scala-ride r-g4 I sold mine on Fleabay for half the price. You should look around online, before you buy new. |

Tires... I have had Diablos (Supersports)...not real sticky but decent mileage. Cant beat the price since they are discontinued. I was impressed with Michelin Pilot Power... I managed over 6k miles and handling was very good. Looking for even longer life and a great road tire... Michelin Pilot Road 3. Imo best sport touring tire out there. BTW I have takeoffs with decent tread left... Pirelli Supercorsa and Bridgestone BT003. One could get some mileage off of these... $25 ...mount them at Moto Authority for about $24 and youre good to go for probably 2k miles depending hoe you ride. I need to clean up my garage! Sticky DOT Tires... |

Nick, I'm sure Ed would be interested in those tires. He's running a bit short on tires right now and since he's moving this month, I think he's looking to save a few bucks. Adam, I got the Scala G4 set for Christmas this year so Angela and I could communicate. She's on her own bike sometimes and two up sometimes. The G4s come two in the box and are factory paired. They also will bluetooth to your phone and have a headphone jack for the ipod. It will bluetooth to a GPS if you have one. Pretty sweet. And they'll match to other Scala products and are backward compatible. With me going on the SpringFast, too, I would be able to pair mine to yours and we could also communicate. They seem a bit pricey, but I really recommend them. I'm planning to buy additional units for Anthony's helmet and maybe even for Ed. He's got a birthday coming up! |

Yeah, I was thinking about the G4... Best rated one I could find. How is setup on them? easy to install? |

Oh, yeah. Super easy. My helmet let me clamp it on, but Angela's had to use an adhesive attachment. Both were good. Mine have the boom mic, but you can get it with the mic on just a wire where it would mount to your chin bar. I like the boom. |

Hey, right on! Good for you! I think I'll do the April track day if I can. I don't know how many others I'll get. I usually get only one or two a year. Or none a year. |

Have any of you guys needed a speedo healer for your bikes? I just ordered one for my CBR because it needs some adjustments after I had it re-geared. runs about 5-10 MPH slower than what the speedo reads. I am just curious what all is involved with re-programing the computer to reflect an accurate speed? |

No... If mine is wrong, I just roll with it. |

Do any of you guys have headsets, or any experience with them? We both have the Sema SMH10s. Good units, easy to use with winter gloves on. Lots of other units don't seem to be suited to heavy gloves. Seattle has been a bit moist so far. Nothing but rain, rain, and more rain. |

a big change from albuquerque's dryness huh? No... If mine is wrong, I just roll with it. Normally I would too... but 5-10 MPH is fairly significant, and there is no way to tell how fast you are really going if you get pulled over, plus puts more miles on the odometer... Is it less bulbous than the old one? and does it provide a little extra umph? |

"5-10 is significant..."(?) Not LOL but humorous nevertheless... |

The headers and exhaust together give it a little more oomph. The Power Commander really gives it a kick in the pants! |
