Well, it looks like the Memorial Day weekend Res Ride will be postponed until the fall, date to be determined.
XB9er will be racing his 1125R during the CCS Series at Summit Point, WV that weekend and he asked me to be on his pit crew. I called and talked to NittanyXT. He's has some family medical issues upcoming and won't be able to lead the ride either.
So, where's that leave you? Bummed, I know.... BUT! there's always a positive right? Why not come to the races! Cheer XB9er on and maybe turn a few wrenches (hopefully not needed )other than check air pressures and add gas!
If you haven't been to the Summit Point track, it well laid out, lots of trees for shade. There's a convenience store maybe 7-8 miles away and hotels rooms are available maybe 10-12 miles away. You can also camp at the track. There's a small store and showers on site.
Did I mention go karts?
This video is of the "fast" karts-around 70-75mph at the top end of the back stretch. The "slow" karts still run 40ish mph and still a kick in the pants!
Well Dan, times change for everyone. Thanks for your efforts and those of XB9r and NittanyXT for your hospitality on your great event. I only made it to one, but glad I did. It was an awesome event.
Toona, I would like to thank you, XB9er, NittanyXT and everyone else that attended and helped to make the Res. Ride events great. In a way I'm glad its a non event this spring. This winter hasn't been very good for me. I would definitely like to come out that way soon for a day trip to get some bbq or a big burger.
Heads up to all, I will not be racing memorial day weekend. Work has been keeping me busy and I have not had enough time to prep my bike. As of today I still dont have tires to put on my bike. I'll be working on it all day monday. It looks like I'll be at summit point racing june 30th through july 1st.
