I have the XB cooler and 2001 M2(bought it new). They are also air/oil cooled engines. The tuber engines are not. They don't put as much heat in the oil as they don't have piston oil jets. I seem to remember the cams rotate differently than a Sporty's....   Buellistic Posted on Friday, March 30, 2012 - 07:46 pm:        You can easily tune/make a TWO STROKE engine run backwards, but not a 4 stroke ... Is that why the XB's have more COOLING FINS on the HEADS and CYLINDERS "PLUS" PISTON OIL JETS, OIL COOLER, and a FAN because they run just a LITTLE bit HOTTER ??? The XB and XR1200X engines are EVO EVO engines ... I'll have to look ito the bypass, it could be a good idea. The cooler I have has the original XB lines, can I just plug and play? Where do the lines attatch to the motor? I've tuned it myself before but have always thought I could do a better job of it and I definitely will with your help.
