My friends 07 uly has the rocker cover leaking, so i'm going to change the gasket, i was wondering if the orange can be changed with the back newer gasket that should be a bit more thick if i'm not wrong, and should seal the leaks. |

I did mine last winter and the new one, which I had to wait for on backorder so I assume it was new stock, was orange. Looked just like the old one. |

Al (American Sport Bike) has a wealth of knowledge on this topic & was kind enough to reply to my recent inquiry regarding rocker cover gaskets. Please find (below) his remarks to me: John, If it is just the rocker cover, and not a HEAD gasket, then you don’t need a top end kit, you only need a rocker box kit. I’m assuming that this is on your 07 Uly. More than you ever wanted to know about Rocker box gaskets is here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/384 2/545648.html?1268275821#POST1754347 But since you have an 07, you need the OEM rocker box kit, not the cometic kit, because the cover gaskets changed in that year. You would need the 17196 kit here: http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/5935.html (2nd to last item) If it is JUST the cover gasket, and NOT the gasket between the rocker box and the head (more typical), you could just get one of those cover gaskets, but we only stock the entire kit, not the individual gaskets.
