I read about it a while back I guess its about a 1/2 of a chevy V8. The timing gear I think they said is the same and the timing chain is the same except for length. |

pricey indeed, for that price i would rather get an EBR. that engine on the motus looks huge. i dont like the valve covers sticking out so much. but its def a nice bike if you are into crusing bikes |

The local victory dealer is listed as a motus dealer. If I (ever) see any Motus bikes there I'll try to get a few pics |

It will be very interesting to see what traction the bikes get. I had am interesting conversation with Brian Case about pricing elasticity. I'm watching. When are the bikes to be in dealers, available for purchase? |

There was a similiar engine developed in the early 90's. It was basically the first two cylinders cut away from a small block chevy ....literally. They had terrible casting issues and folded. |

Funny, I remember the Motus stories from years ago, I thought they were actually selling them all this time. Shows what I know! 30K isn't too far off the mark if you compare it to BMW sport tourers, and assume it's gonna be high because it's hard to manufacture anything in the 'States anymore, especially using your own engine. This current iteration looks like a KTM Adventure 990 raped a VFR 1200. And then someone glued on an XB tail. WTF, Motus design team? I've always liked the Motus idea of an American VFR, but my Gawd that's ugly, and obviously ripped off from other bikes. The 990 Adventure is just not the bike to "emulate" for styling..... |
