So which way will they mount the brake rotors for the race? I think it'll be the way they mounted them on Danny's bike. |

LOL. Finally spotted it. They probably rotate them like you would rotate tires to get longer life. |

Thanks, Michael, for the great pics of Mooney and Higbee. It's so much better to see visuals of them than seeing their names flash by on SPEED's lap position banner. |

Triumph needs to put out a replica of that bike. Best looking race bike I've seen in a while. |

In all the excitement, it seems to have slipped past most of the websites that Elena Myers is the FIRST woman to ever win a professional motorsports event of ANY kind at Daytona (sorry, Danica). It's also her second win as a professional road racer in AMA racing, the ONLY woman to ever win a professional motorcycle race in the AMA. Go ELENA!! Only 19 years old? She's got a good long career ahead of her! |

+1 to that! Good to see a girl kick serious ass, at Daytona no less! Not gonna get too optimistic, but I'm wondering about the media coverage of this story... prolly gonna have to wait and read about it in a magazine, mebbe some online 'zines... |

I thought that was really cool as well. I hope Speed slipped in some coverage (haven't seen the second race coverage yet). |

Although it means very little at testing it is quite nice to see Geoff in front of the 2 winners this year. Good times are coming I can feel it. Especially with Jake Zemke helping with testing. A wealth of knowledge in that pit stall. Wish I lived near there as practice is free to the public. |

>>>Although it means very little at testing In testing it means precisely nothing . . . . The bikes are being changed throughout individual sessions and the very purpose for testing is well . . . . (drum roll) to test. I have photos of all the cases of goodies that were headed to Homestead to test and the bikes likely go through more changes in a day, in an effort to capture data, than they will the rest of the year. Part of the data, the limits of the motor, will come from Daytona . . . one of the few places that yields it in quantity . . . other, more subtle changes, will come from Homestead. Call it a GUESS. |

Is that a new material on that front brake rotor? Looks like some kind of very cool laminated metal. |

I can't speak for Rob - but they're most likely only going to attempt Western region races in AMA and some WERA events. As you are now aware, Rob is funding it mostly out of pocket - though the non-AMA races, they're getting special Dunlop help. <edit> all the above is just a PERSONAL GUESS; Rob will have to speak for himself but I would imagine that Daytona took a pound of flesh. Your right when Shawn came in with the 1190 coasting Rob turned a little white. We need a Good Badweb raffle to raise funds to keep him racing BLAKE this would entail a BIG badweb logo for the Bike tent etc lol Come on you you could let it happen! Badwebbers helped at Daytona lets keep it going and make it bigger better. Rob and Shawn are OUR folks years ago Team Elves set land speed records We can do this. How cool would it be to See Shawn on the Podium with a BADWEATHERBIKERS 1190? We all spend money on mc gear lets do a round up. It works this way you buy a pair of gloves there $ 67.25 you round up the coat to $68.00 and send the rest to the team. no one will miss the change if you can spare it round it up to the next $5 or $10 if most of the Badwebbers do that and mention it to thier vendors and try to get others to do it. Soon We could really help the team get and stay competitive. Once we get a few vendors to notice Badwebbers purchases. They will want to market to Badwebbers since we are a indentifable customer base. Thats when they will WANT! to sponsor Rob and Shawn. Buell and EBR are not well known out side of the Buellers. If we want support for OUR guys we need to help them from our end the Customer end. Once Vendors know we are here and Spend money they want to sell to us. Thats where the Advertising world funds racing. We need input from Al Lighton and the other faithful sponsors and suppliers on how to help him sell more Buell EBR products and attract sales for the EBR Buell community. How neat would it be to see a Privateer on EBR winning Daytona Super bike. Lets see some other ideas for fund raising for Rob and Shawn What ever happens it will be fun! |

IIRC, Team Elves had this deal where if Badwebbers contributed x amount of dollars to the cause, your name went on the bike. How about something like that? On the other hand, the RR1000 had lots of bodywork on which to put names; the 1190RS, not so much. Oh well, maybe Rob could put TT number plates on it like, ahem, somebody did? |
