Had a good friend come by last night, and we were talking about cycles while looking at my bike. We both have built several rigid choppers. We started mentally pulling parts off the XB9 to transfer over to a rigid frame. It started to sound pretty cool. Engine, transmission, Wheels, tires, brakes, handle bar controls, front end (depending on rake of new frame) wiring... parts would make a pretty neat rigid rat bike...  | ||

The Redneckengineering guys do make some neat stuff. I wouldn't dismember my M2 to do that, but having put some stuff together myself I wouldn't mind having one in the barn for poker runs. I love the look, but I grew up on IH Sporty's and Dad's Panhead. Greg | ||

I've thought about how to make a radical chopper from using a Buell design. My idea was to have the engine "hang" like they do on a Buell. The biggest problem would be mounting foot controls. I still think it would be cool look. But instead, I'm helping save a classic Buell (white S1W). I bought the frame, rims & bodywork from someone that is taking the motor for a custom chopper. This will leave the world with one less S3T but I feel good about saving an S1W  | ||

HEATHEN! Christ, find something productive to do with your money! LOL...You don't see me messing with my wheelbase or shocks, now, do you? Buell's are not meant to be rigid bikes. Period. Look in the Buell 04 brochure. There's a stripped to the frame XB that, if it had a minimal seat, would make an awesome looking chopper. | ||

MCWorks here in KC is in the final stages of a XB based rigid, they also had my old rear wheel widened to 11" for a 280 tire. should be sweet! | ||
