So are you guys riding yet? Bart and I are gonna meet up tomorrow, 10-ish, at my house. Unknown destination, but it might be nice to swing by that Daytona Viewing Party at Billy's Long Bar. Kinda weird going to a bar. Also, it's likely that the Daytona 200 will be on at the same time as the Lobo game.
Looks like I'll be on the Firebolt since I didn't get my new tire on the Uly yet. Firebolt is gonna need new rubber soon, too, I think. |

Hey guys, I need a head count for SpringFast, the Tal Wi Wi is wanting a headcount.
Has anyone made reservations yet?
Like last year, there is another group wanting rooms for that weekend, and the lodge is wanting to know how many rooms we really need.
(I think we have 8 rooms reserved for SpringFast)
PM me, and let me know if you have reservations or not, they want us to release a few rooms. |

I just talked to the Tal Wi Wi lodge, and there have been NO reservations made for the SpringFast group.
Kelly has reserved a room, but not in our block of rooms.
There is another group that will be there the same weekend, just like last year, and the lodge will probably release the rooms by the end of the month.
Basically its the snooze you lose situation. When the lodge is full, you will have to get a cabin down in town.
We currently have 4 rooms saved, when you make your reservations, make sure you let them know you are with the SpringFast group! |

Need to make sure the snoring guys get the room ALL the way at the END!
That hot tub looks like it can handle one person at a time. Or two VERY flexible people, LOL.
I got a nice ride in today, went halfway up the crest. The road is still pretty nasty, lots of sand, and some new potholes here and there to add some excitement.
I passed the ski area, and took the dirt road down through Placitas back.
It was closed, but what the hey, who is going to come chase me with all that snow and ice?

OK, yall... change of subject.
I guess Pirelli is phasing out the Scorpion Sync tires that I've been using on my Firebolt for about 8 years. I need to select a new type of tire. What tires do you guys use and why? I'm interested in something that is both good grip on the mountain roads (or the occasional track day) as well as long mileage. I'm accustomed to getting 5-7K per tire.
