I can not imagine that AMA has mis-printed. Could be, though. If it is correct.. Holy smokes!!! Could be that EBR has hired Jake for testing at Miami Homestead. Do I dare think that Jake will be riding the whole season for EBR? |

Jake has put bikes on the podium in a number of classes. I think Jake on an EBR bike would be awesome. |

I highly doubt that is a misprint. That is sweet and would be an even better signing than Danny or Geoff and I like them both. This guy does great on everything he throws a leg over. Very exciting if this is a signing and not just a one off ride for practice. |

Wow go Geoff!!! http://results.amaproracing.com/xml/rr/events/R120 8/sbp1ovr.pdf close to his track record of 1:23.131! http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?artic le=46811 Bostrom and Hayden seem to be holding back a bit since they can lay down 1:22's (unofficially) http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?artic le=46915 What's the strategy for these test sessions? Show your best card or hold back a bit? |

m2 , don't try to start any trouble here. I am sure he is fine. the EBR team are probably just testing things out to see if its mechanical or rider issues with the bike. I think they expect better results then what they did in daytona. |

you also know that Danny wants to beat Herrin and do better then him. Sure he does and he can. But the bike, the team need some time. It isn't gonna come right away. Herrin has a learning curve to learn to ride the Superbike. Danny has to over come a new team a new bike and still the learning curve of riding a Superbike. Will they though at some point put electronics on the bike??? |

Just observing XB. I know how it feels not to be able to be on the track when you want. Daytona is not the track for any twin really. I'm sure this will be a breakout year for all of the EBR riders no doubt!! |

Damn I was hoping he could work out a deal to do both series on different teams. That would have been awesome. |

It'll be interesting to see Hayes ride with Electronics this year. The last couple he opted to run without. I think he see's there benefits. |

Second practice and Hayes is still behind May followed by Eslick. Zemke up to 11th. Not bad for a few laps on a new motorcycle. |

Mladin won championships without the help of electronics. he said he did not needed extra help to win |

Better look that up Bro his 2008-09 bikes did. Complete Motec system. Before that traction control and ABS and the like weren't on any bike. Any of better funded teams bikes are running some form of Electronics. If not most don't have a chance to win. Hayes won last year but not convincingly. He won by most pull positions where he got extra points for doing so. |

Every year I went to AMA races at RA Mladins Yosh had wires all over it for many systems including what I was told was traction control. Those were the 3 years up to his retirement. Back then there was very little cap on what you could spend so there were sensors all over. My favorite was the the tire temp sensors. That was a "I never thought of that" type moment. |

Well looks like it is back to "reality" 4 bikes under the lap record and it is the usuals. May back to 6th and Eslick 9th. This is where I thought they would be although I hoped for better. Still both in the top 10. Things are looking up! http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=47632 (Message edited by svh on March 20, 2012) |

>>>>May back to 6th and Eslick 9th. Be mindful of two things . . . . 1) This, regardless of how it may appear on the timing app, is NOT racing. 2) Things are being changed constantly on the bikes as the riders go through the day. I'd not, therefore, impute too much "trend analysis" into what occurred over the period of the day, either for a rider or between given riders. I am getting reports from Homestead and things seem optimistic. Anyway you slice it there are a ton of very talented folks in the hunt this year and we are all in for a great year of racing. See you at the races, Court |

"trend analysis" Hah! So much for trend, spreadsheets, pundits and potification! Slick laying down a 22.897 lap.. I'm excited!!! (I'm not saying you area a pontificator, Court! Just that anything is possible this year!) (Message edited by doerman on March 20, 2012) (Message edited by doerman on March 20, 2012) |
