Replaced the rear isolators on my 1999 X1 yesterday... found a small pin on the floor under the bike. Turns out the LH alignment pin for the rear isolator seems to have sheared off. the orientation of the bolt holes in the islators are the same on each side. do i have anything to worry about? does anyone have a pic showing the new type isolators installed on an X1 on each side? just want to make sure iam ok before i go on. |

How did you fix it? |

The pin was broken off flush... could not get it out of the frame. Installed a smaller but stronger roll pin INSIDE the broken half of the frame. Took the broken pin and slid it over the smaller pina and it fit like a glove. Seems to be stronger too!! |

Clever! I have always thought of tapping swingarm sub-frame and drilling into the mount and using a small allen bolt. |
