The instructions say to route the sensor wire through the pipe by disconnecting the wires up by the upper frame rail. I am not seeing where it disconnects. Do you cut the wires and thread through? Do I need to dremel out the small cutout in the flange? I found two worn plastic washers behind the EIF support bracket large holes where the breather bolt goes through, is this correct? The pins go into the sensor connector and clip with small barbs, if you have a small tool you can release the barbs and pull the pins out then reassemble on the other side of the pipe. Make sure to put them back in the same places. |

Can I just not use the alloy piece they provided and simply stick the sensor in the K&N hole and hide the wiring? What about washers? My old setup was not stock and did not have any washers the guy loaded up with red gasket silicone, real messy looking. My new kit has no washers with it. I would think the breather bolts should have washers to the EFI support bracket, no? Gasket on both sides on the carb bracket on EFI mouth, correct? Lastly is the plastic washers between the heads ans efi support bracket correct? |

Bsa Where the breathers exit the heads thru the mounting bracket, there is an HD oil pump washer ( the pn escapes me ) that you can use with banjo bolts, for the Force winder / breather install, the ET sensor can be put on with out the trim piece, the breather line should not be run to the filter ( i used the standard FW part and the smaller filter ) good luck I think that you will be happy with the results.. |

Thanks, I have a bunch off rubber plugs that I will cork the extra hole. My breather had already been rerouted. |

ok real qwik, i read through the above posts 3 times and wasnt understanding exactly what you were talking about(newbie here). I am getting ready to put a forcewinder kit on my x1 and am wondering if im doing it right. I plan to drill through the elbow and put the o2 sensor in it with the stock grommet, and just bolt the elbow to the original mount. the kit came with a smaller filter that i plan on running the breather hoses to and hiding it behind the forcewinder. Will this work? |
