My 2009 owner's manual says 2.7 qts including the filter for my 2009 1125CR. 2.4 quarts without the filter change. | ||

Dk: I know the argument about HOW MUCH OIL should be replaced after an oil change in the engine/trans. However, as has been discussed many many times on this board and, to my knowledge, the universal answer is what I've given. As we all know, the 1125 manuals did not have the correct volume. I know the 2010 takes more oil, because of the glass sight oil checking instead of the dipstick. I have a 2010 engine in my 09, and there about 30 different parts on the 2010 engine. My point is, don't give a blanket statement on how much oil the 1125 takes, because different years take different amounts of oil. | ||

DK: You need to read the above link I posted. THE ENTIRE LINK. Explains alot of what some get confused with. These engines return the oil SLOWLY back to the sump. I don't fault you for guessing what the 2010 oil capacity is. But you do offer only a guess. And with your critique, I'd think you'd want your 2010 engined bike to be right too. Unless the new OP got an owner's manual AND it, the 2009 Buell 1125r owner's manual, is in fact correct, I would think 3 quart bottles with a filter change is about right. Relax DK  | ||

Many are overfilling their systems. There has been mention of this in other threads. When my stator went out the dealer commented on the lack of oil in the system. I took that as a hint. After seeing posts on this subject I have been doing 3.4 quarts with oil/filter changes for some time now. Generally speaking excessive oil is puked out the breather into the intake. I have inspected the breather and throttle bodies twice, dry as a bone. | ||

Two_seasons, I have a 2010 engine in my 09 CR. I can tell you from experience the 2010 eninge holds more then 3 quarts. The sight glass is more accurate, and I am able to tell when my bike is overfull/not full. I don't I should relax about this. Under/overfilling a bike with oil is a big problem. | ||

I just purchase a Pit Boss motorcycle stand for my 1125R from Amazon now I'm worried that this stand will not fit my bike. I was assuming that most bike stands were or are universal? Am I correct or did I do a big mistake? Thanks | ||

Chgofirefighter, the 1125R swingarm is much wider than most other bikes, so it may or may not fit. If it is a spool mount lift, be sure to get the aftermarket spools from American Sport Bike to prevent the stand from scratching the swingarm. | ||

The Pit Bull stand for the 1125 is an oddball stand - it doesn't really fit other motorcycles. It works on 1125s, and I think a few other weird really wide motorcycles. I've got two rearstands - one for the 1125, one for the other bikes. | ||

LOVE my Pitbull stands!! I would recommend, whether you go with an EBR ECM or not, to research and perform the "de-noid" procedure before you even spend any time out on the road...SO worth it and FREE! Well, unless you worry about the check engine light, then it costs you about $6 for the resistor to prevent that from happening. Also, a good set of cheap yet reliable HIDs from ddm-tuning.com are a must-have modification , in my opinion. | ||

I tried to look it up on youtube as to how you perform a "de-Noid" procedure, but found nothing. is it hard to do, or a simple thing to do, don't want to mess up on my ride if you know what I mean | ||

Remove the "De-Noid" today, fairly simple and easy to do, I have a check engine light but I can live w that until I get the resistor installed. Here are some pics       | ||

Hmmm, crank breather? I thought I saw a sponge like piece that I was wondering where the hell that belong to, hmmm, have to check on that ASAP! I turn the bike on, everything seemed ok. Still havent rode it but I will look into that breather sponge... Thanks for the heads up! | ||

That isn't correct, it says right on American Sport Bike that the shipping calculator overestimates. I bought both front and rear stands, shirts, brake pads, and some other goodies, even with shipping it from Cali to NY, it only cost me $32 for UPS ground. The calculator quoted me at about a $100. As Daggar pointed out, you really must pull that hose up inbetween the 2 intakes. Thats the idle air, the linkage on that side WILL rub it it its not pulled up correctly. Best outcome throttle will be stiff/sticky, worse case it will pull/push that hose off, bike will cut out and possibly you'll crash.... Its a pita, ive fitted a small cable tie round the throttle body end, and use a slim pair of long nose pliers to ease it up through the airbox. | ||
