I don't really WANT to sell her, but I feel bad keeping her around and not riding her as much as I should - I just can't afford the tickets that this bike begs for every time I climb on. I've got $7000 in her, not to mention countless hours of work. Not very flexible on the price, if you're interested but only at a lower price, I can start swapping some of the harder to find parts out with more common stock parts. Interested in a cash sale or a partial trade for a smaller bike of lower value. Interested in a Blast, older (70's) CB/CL style bike. Maybe a motard, dual sport, enduro. Just tell me what you've got. EDIT: I'd also be interested in a diesel Ford Ranger from the 80's. Preferably the Mitsubishi-produced 2.3L turbodiesel. Betty hasn't been a garage queen until lately. She's been ridden, sometimes in the rain, since I finished rebuilding her. She's also been dropped on the left side while not moving. Left side air scoop has a decent scratch in the otherwise perfect fresh paint, and the toe peg on the shift linkage isn't 100% straight. With all that being said, I have paid very close attention to detail with this bike. She's been ridden, and well-maintained. A few of her mods: 1250cc kit 10.5:1 pistons bronze OPDG grenade plate removed from clutch pack XB rocker covers + Pegasus breather setup stainless braided oil lines ceramic coated (inside & out) header + D&D pipe (coated outside only) every bit of aluminum is polished except for the forks and triple clamps Baker smooth shift drum Signal Dynamics headlight and brake light modulators Clear Alternatives integrated tail light Nearly $200 in Boogey Lights UV LEDs - if you're not into that kind of thing, don't turn them on (bulbs are very well hidden) Thread covering more details of the bike's rebuild is here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/458017.html I'd love to see her go to a good home, and replace her with a bike that I will actually ride without constantly breaking traffic laws! forgot a few mods/accessories: (these are pictured on the bike) Buell Select seat Buell Millenium pegs (if you've never ridden with these - they're amazing - much less vibration than with the common rubber-coated standard pegs) Buell battery cover (very hard to find accessory) Airtech carbon fiber undertail American Sport Bike fiberglass tank trim piece on the right side, factory scoop on the left Forcewinder XR-2 intake Buell stainless rear pulley cover (I had it chrome plated) Buell tank bra (also pretty hard to find) Buell axle covers (the items below are not pictured) I have a Buell accessory tank bag designed specifically for the X1 - believe it's called the "Amigo". It shows some fading from lots of use, but is in solid condition. I also have a pair of X1-specific Buell saddlebags. These are basically impossible to find now. They're practically brand new - I had them on the bike for maybe a total of 200 miles, other than that their entire life has been in the back of a closet. I have a passenger seat cowl, paint on it is the same orange on the rest of the plastics. It's an accessory from a European company that has long since been discontinued (sorry, can't remember the name of the company) If it's not pictured on the bike, it won't be included in the sale unless we discuss it specifically. Price can be adjusted up or down depending on the removal or addition of some of these rare accessories. |

$325 shipped to CA for the cowl. Be aware that although it's molten orange, it has a touch of violet pearl added as well as 5 coats of clear. (factory molten orange had 2 coats of clear and no pearl) so it won't perfectly match another molten orange bike. |

Bump for an absolutely beautiful bike built by a top notch guy. I have seen this bike and experienced Phil's knowledge of "high performance tractor engines" while he helped me try to limp mine home from New Mexico. He is not kidding or exagerating when he speaks of his attention to detail. Good luck, I hope she finds a good home. |

If I didn't already own an X1, Betty would have been in a trailer heading up to New Jersey. One of the nicest X1s around. I hope the new owner knows what he got. |
