Does anyone make a bearing tool for removal and installation of both the wheel bearings and steering head bearings? I would like to do my wheel bearings myself, but would also like one tool that can do all my bearings. I would also like this tool to work on both the two bearing and the three bearing wheels with larger bearings. Is there such a tool? |

I have one. It can suck for pulling bearings to be honest. A brass drift works better. It works OK for installing... so does a shop press. |

I bought the Harbor Freight bearing tools... and was underwhelmed. Haven't actually tried it yet (in spite of rebuilding a KX-100 total bottom and top end). So I'd say save your money... (That being said, I did use the Pep Boys harmonic wheel puller and Harbor freight bearing splitter to good effect on a KDX-200. Though it did take some time with a grinder to get it to a place where it would work. |
