OK ... this winter has been pretty mild here in east-central Indiana. Last week I got in about 100 miles on the little BLAST! ... the Goldwing is up on jacks, her forks being rebuilt. With the huge fairing and windshield on the Goldwing I've ridden at 32 F. with no electric clothing ... just bundled up with layers and the wind protection the bike affords. It's a different story with the BLAST! ... no windshield, no fairing, and a flyscreen smaller then some bugs. Last week I rode an 80 mile trip at 60 mph on the highway and got COLD! It was 58 F. ... would have been warm on the Goldwing !!! |

58F? I can't wait till its 58! I tried a few 45 mile trips in 40F weather, and decided I'd stick to town roads until it warms up a bit more. Then again thats the price you pay for riding in Alaska. |
