Hello. I was on the board a few years back when i had my 06 uly. I have just bought a 2000 s3 thunderbolt. Ive been wanting to buy a tuber for awhile and finally found a good deal on a pretty clean bike. Ive been searching the site trying to find info but i think i may be asking a few questions but first i wanted to say hello. I am looking for info on getting bags for it though. There are no brackets on the bike, is there anywhere i can find a complete set up? Thnaks |

Finding hard bags will be a chore. They pop up on Ebay every once in a while. |

I don't know of any, but I'm sure someone on here will chime in. |

Factory bags come up often enough that a little patience will pay off, but you might end up waiting a while and will most certainly pay out the nose for them. Aftermarket will only be soft saddlebags or a Ventura rack. The latter can be had through asb. I'm sure if you were really crafty you could make up brackets (or modify a stock one) and attach Givi mounting loops. I've thought about doing this, but my stock bags are holding together just fine at this point. I would suggest that when you get them you fiberglass the insides whether they are cracked or not. |

Thanks for the info. I found a set but not sure they are for my bike, the bracket doesnt seem to line up. Ive been looking for aftermarket ones but the only ones i like are the Givi, too bad they dont make a set that fit!! My bike is green. |

I have a set in green. Brackets deep cases and inner bags. I really like the inner bag system and the deep cases hold lots of gear or full face helmets. I have an FJR I use for long trips now so they just live up on the shelves in my garage. I might be interested in selling them. Shoot me a PM ..... |
