http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Harley-Davidson-HAR LEY-DAVIDSON-BUELL-RACING-BIKE-/310375384467?pt=US _motorcycles&hash=item4843d08593#ht_500wt_1182 4MZYS says it should be an S1W. Nuke blue frame, billet metallic bodywork, PM's, looks like wiring is in place and swingarm is there; just needs powertrain and a tail section. "Race Bike" explains the swap to small S1 tank. If only I was closer to it...anyone in FL want to bring it up to MD? |

Why does the 800 S1 remind me of this old joke: The advert said $1000 for a 2-door Chevy. Discovers that the car for sale is a 1960 Corvette. The Buyer says to the woman selling the car, "You know the car has to be worth at least $50,000, why are you selling it so cheap?" The woman replied, "My husband has left me for another woman. He told me to sell the corvette and send him the money." |

Dutch, The seller did not have the title for the bike. He tried to sell it about 8 months ago or so, from what I recall, it was his uncles bike, who since has died. No way of getting a replacement title. I was hoping to get it and have my buddy run the title and see if it was stolen. If not, it would have made a great spare parts bike....it is practically impossible to get a replacement title with the previous owner unavailable. |

Snp304 So if a title is lost and the owner is gone, it is impossible to get a new title? Strange. You know who bought this s1 ? |

It's not impossible, anyone who acted in the role of executor of the uncles estate could get a copy of the title. If the uncle had any assets at all, then the estate no doubt went through probate and someone was named executor. |

That "race bike" was on C-list a while back, guess it didn't sell. Wish I had more room in the garage (and $$), seems like I've been on a crusade lately!! |

I just got an email from the gentleman that bought the $800 S1W. It looks like a beautiful bike other than the title issues.
He said he drove over at midnight to beat the other callers. |
