I plan on doing track days at Jennings this spring. Would it behoove me to get frame sliders? Do they make them for X1's? |

Yes they make them, American Sport Bike sells them. surprise; they don't cost all that much to boot. Good Luck. |

It depends on what type of track-day you are doing!! Do you think you are a racer? or are you going just to practice correct posture and technique and apex's, braking zones. If it is your prized bike then you better or if you don't care than don't. I did a few track days and some ART schools and i was worried about my bike so much i just went and practiced what i was taught in the school sessions. There were a couple of other guys that were going to fast like they were pro's and one of them went whipping by me and immediately low sided into a very sharp corner. he had a spanking new bike suit and gear......It was all ruined when he got up and they even had to send the rescue truck out to get his bike (his day at the track was over). Just be careful. knowing how to do it right\properly is far better than just going fast and dragging knee on the track. I would never use my X1 again on the track. i have another bike for that. |

Good words of wisdom Prey. I've been thinking of picking up a cheap so-called 'track bike'. I would like to take the X1 out just to learn the fundamentals and experience it on the buell! But if I really want to push my limits, pick up one of those 'comes with no title' cheap track bikes... |

Track Days: For when the normal motorcycle depreciation curve simply isn't fast enough. Better to have your "purdy" bike and your "ugly" bike than to make your "purdy" bike "ugly". |
