OK... first of all I consider myself an old fart here... and a youngin with the BMW group I sometimes hang out with. I am so close to 50... that AARP has been sending membership stuff... I am a KC Mob member... and I think I am the oldest guy in that bunch. In my limited association with the KCBMW club... I am in the youngest end of that bunch. SO... the average age of a Harley owner I think was 40 something... (can someone tell me)? The question... can anyone tell me the correct demographic assessment of the average age of a Buell owner/customer? ...and ask anyone who knows me... or has read any of my posts... age in my case does not mean grown up... I am very proud of my immaturity... I tried growing up once... it literally almost killed me! | ||

The current marketing demographics of Buells appears to be 18-38, the actual demographics of all Buell owners is between 14-84 years old. I don't know if there are any actual data charts available to show age breakdowns. | ||

I remember hearing somewhere that the average age of a Buell rider was 35 years old. However, that was during the tuber years. It has probably dropped a bit since the release of the XBs. | ||

Funny that they seem so low. Every event I attend with Buells everyone seems mature......age wise........Mentally we are all twenty......whooohooooooo........50 and own 3 buells....REX You didn't mention size either. Come to one of our American Sport BikeN meetings..........The XB doesn't quite fit all of us...........ahahah. | ||

you don't stop riding cause you get old you get old when you stop riding 53 -- tuber owner (I think the demos for XBs and Tubers will likely be different . . .. for, if no other reason, the cost of Buells has pretty much dropped continuously since the brand got bought by HD {I couldn't afford the pre-HD Buells, no matter how I drooled}) | ||

Average HD rider is 47 years old and makes $75,000 a year. I don't know Buell's specifics. I'm 33. One HD, one Buell. | ||

34 here w/tuber i have yet to meet a bueller(in person)that was younger than me. only meet a few tho! | ||

41 myself. All of the Buell events & meetings I have attended, it definetely looks as if the average age of a Bueller is probably around 37-38. i do agree that the XB's have brought the younger folks in. But at the same time, I dont see the older tube frame owners moving on to the XB's. A few do, but by & large the youngsters prefer the XBs. | ||

21 here, i get more looks at my bike from older harley guys then anyone else. The buell always brings the attention; even transiants on bicycles are drawn to them =) | ||

There was an article in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel during the 100th that said the average age of a Buell owner was 38 and I believe 46 for a Harley owner. Not sure on the Harley age because I didn't care, but was surprised by the Buell age. Matt | ||

Viros: Not to debate the virtues of two very different bikes but, other things being equal, which bike did/do you like better? Why? Legal disclaimer: I had a Y2K M2 and replaced it with a Triumph Sprint RS. The Triumph is better in every measurable way but to be honest, I liked the M2 better. | ||

I like how in 16 thousand miles my 9R has treated 10Xs better in reliability than the X1 ever did, I love how confident I feel on it at the track and how I can just lean on it, but..... I just miss the balls that my X1 had, I loved the "what the hell is that" reaction from people, I just miss the sound of the V&H pipe. Ive even test rode a XB12 and even though the power is equal to my X1, I guess I liked the X1 a little more for its tough soulful characteristics. im pretty sure I will purchase another X1 later in life | ||

I bought my M2 when I was 43 after a 12 year lapse in owning a bike. Nothing negitive, I sold my last bike and just never got around to buying another one until I bought the M2. Then I discovered what REAL riding was all about!! Now at just shy of 47 I'm riding an XB12R which amazes my students (I'm a high school teacher) and has stumped a lot of my Harley riding friends, most of whom are younger.
