I've done the open airbox mod with the K&N filter.

The low fuel light comes on after about 130 miles so I guess around 45-50.

I got my ecmspy cable today and tested the race maps and they left a huge hole from 2500-4000 rpms then I loaded Blaylocks maps and got rid of all decel popping and it pulled strong and hard from 1000-7000 rpms. Very happy.

I also noticed today riding to work that it takes longer after I let off the throttle to go back down to idle speeds. I did a tps reset when I tried the race maps but not Blaylock's maps. I'm wondering if I should reset again.

What is your idle set at?

Try upping the fuel 5 points in the bottom two rows from 2400rpm up.

How is the engine braking when this is happening?

I set my idle as close to 1050 as possible. I notice it when I pull in the clutch and coast to a stop from about 3500rpms. I'll try adding some more fuel points since I did notice some decel popping from highers rpms than normal riding 5500 and up.

I just loaded the last maps that you posted Terry and so far its the best tune for my bike. It pulls hard all the way through the rpm range. Blaylocks map gave me a dead spot between 4-5k rpms at half throttle.

Sorry to hear about that dead spot. I never did a full complete tune, but every bike is different, and since then I put on a hawk exhaust (which I still need to tune LOL).

Do you like your hawk exhaust much more than the jardine? Any performance changes?

I love it. It sounds better and runs smoother. I bit more torque in the lower end than the Jardine, and WAY better than the stock exhaust. I am still using the same tune from my Jardine exhaust on the Hawk and it runs great with no decel popping or dead spots. Here is an audio comparison video I made:

Borrowed this map to use on my recently installed '07 XB9SX with K&N and Jardine w/ baffle, and works great. Had the same problem with after warmup the bike would take its sweet time to run back to idle. Also found ECMSpy said despite my eyeballing the tach, I was running about 300rpm high from a recent adjustment. Thanks for posting the map, Terry!

Scratch that. Had to go back to stock EEPROM. Tune was fine all the way up to getting to a very tight track that I really didn't leave 1st gear it. Once the bike really warmed up it had massive dead spots in midrange power and began to idle at 800rpm. Then for the second session, bike simply wouldn't hold a start. Would start, then die as it refused to keep a decent idle. Thankfully I brought my laptop with me, and I reflashed, which gave me a lot of decel pop, but I"m not convinced thats a bad thing. All 3 KTMs and the Ducati belonging to my buddies there deccel pop as did the Buell before the new exhaust when you're really on it and using engine braking. Basically, maps great for daily commute, but don't recommend it for track.
