Hi, doing the XB swing arm swap on my M2. What is the best pulley tooth count (front and rear) and belt configuration? Also what about for a chain conversion? Does anyone have a pic of what they did for a belt tensioner? Thank in advance. |

Joesbuell in Australia put a XB swing arm on his pre 99 model s3 a few years ago. Seems like he kept the belt drive though. Will have to see if I can find you a link to the archived thread, his photo journal and notes on the project were pretty extensive. |

This is what I got so far. Presently getting the spacers made. Should be able to mount the swing arm next week when the shock comes in. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/disc us.cgi?pg=next&topic=47623&page=613195 |

Weld a plate across the two top bars and then two vertical brackets. Similar to Jody's. Won't know for sure until I mock everything up. |

You can weld in the factory pulley holes and re-drill it to the XB pattern to keep the stock 61 tooth.... or you could make a pulley like i did that is factory tuber 61 tooth- (Message edited by purpony on January 15, 2012) |

Effen hot, that thing is just as sexy now as when you did the thing!!! It's easy to forget the detail work that went into your bike when you see it on the whole, because it's so cleanly put together. |
