Damn Tom, you do not mess around. I think I would have admired the problem for about a week before doing any thing. Friday I was doing a little gunsmithing and did not tighten down the grinding wheel properly.... Of course it came flying off and hit the new Mustang in the garage.... I now have a nice new dent in my nice new car... It is allowed, I am in my 50s. |

Thanks, Brad-I think I can fix this one, though. It's just a little crushed out on the very outside edge. rt |

Fiberglass repair and bondo are about done. I'll probably have the thing back together before all my scabs are healed! This little guy has taken up residence on my workbench under a bunch of Buell parts. I think he likes the warmth from the lights. I'm calling him "Thunderbolt Lizard!"

I now have a nice new dent in my nice new car... The first thing I did when I got my brand new 2007 Firebolt home a few years ago was drop it in the driveway. You all have likely been doing dumb things all your lives, but now that you're older you don't remember them all anymore Been following this thread - I hope my S3 woes don't take this same fate! |

I hope my S3 woes don't take this same fate! Me, too! The drive gear failure, in and of itself, isn't really a big deal as long as you get the motor shut down immediately. But that hardly ever happens.... rt |

Time to close this thread out. The bike's back together. Here it is at the S2 gathering in Rocky Branch, Arkansas last month:
That's Hootowl in the background. rt |
