Nothing but rain, sleet, flurries and clouds for the last few weeks... WINTER SUCKS!! I don't mind the cold but the complete and utter lack of sunshine blows chunks. |

it is a nice balmy 30 degrees in homer alaska. light winds, and snowing all day. we rode dirtbikes around the homestead for hours. buell cant go, no screws in the tires. but the little hondas get around well. the heated grip testing is going well. have about 8 hours use on the kimpex heaters on honda XR250. no problems yet. wwill be trying them on the buell soon. dean |

No snow in the north SF bay area but lots of rain. The cold miserable seep through your clothes and chill you to the bone kind. The worse thing is the wind. I can handle wet but I hate being tossed around like a rag doll by Mother Nature. Just gotta pack some dry clothes and hope your destination is warm & toasty when you get there. |

Dean, I have a set of those on my S1!!!!! They work GREAT and would not trade for anything. Only one problem - after three years of great service the left grip finally gave up about a month ago and I have been too busy to fix it. I suspect that the wire going to the heating pad came off. The left grip slid a little off one day and after I forced it back on the grip did not heat up. An easy fix just need the time to do it. It was funny when I ordered my local Harley Service Manager swore that they would not work on the Buell and it would screw up the engine computer. I think he was trying the push the $350.00 Harley Heated Grips that were sitting on the shelf over the $30.00 Kimpex ones. Its still cheaper even if I have to replace them every 3 years. Oh and CRUSTY - WINTER DOES SUCK but like Glitch pointed out its now only 87 days till spring. Woooooooooo Hoooooooooooo |

I'm with CJ, A good round of Golf is a waste of a GREAT WALK and a good end of Curling is as much fun as watching paint dry. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt and won't do it again. I hardly sweeps the floor at home (thats what vacuums are for) let alone sweep the ice. Why do you think every one hates you Char!!!! |

Even though it was a little cool (mid 20's) it felt really good to ride to work this morning. It's suppose to be in the upper 40's the rest of the week. Usually I'm ready for a little winter rest, but this is my first winter as a Buell owner and I can tell it'll be a long one! Merry Christmas to all! g u s m y s t e r |

Excessive miles on the other bike?? It also gives me a chance to visit with my wife, during riding season she's kinda a "weekend widow" as she puts it. I sure didn't need any caffeine this morning, wide awake and ready to work! g u s m y s t e r |

While in Santa Fe, New Mexico dropping off my bike last weekend,(there was snow on the ground), I noticed one of the mechanics had taken an empty Quart bottle of oil and cut it in half, and cable tied them to his handlebars to break the wind. dedicated rider them guys are. I was in my truck with the heater on! It's nice to be back in Arizona! |

Rode the M2 to work Monday, the 23rd, from Ranson WV, to Arlington VA. (60+ miles one way), and according to the weather, looking forward to riding this weekend and possibly this coming WEEK. Just have to remember to wear more warm clothes until Spring is her. But yes, winter still SUCKS!!!

Kansas City.. It got up to about 55 degrees... was a bit windy. A few bikes out... the good news... I did about 100 miles of going no place... the bad news... I forgot to zip closed my tail bag... and a nearly new red Buell hat blew out... I assume on I-70 at a velocity somewhat above the posted. Yes... I back tracked and looked... no, I did not find it. :-( |

You guys up north whining about the cold should just move down here to Arizona. At least you HAVE a bike to ride. Here it is 65, beautiful sunny in Tucson, AZ, and my S2 sits in the shop, awaiting it's resurrection. <sigh> I'd rather it be cold and miserable if I can't ride...
