Looks like there's a demand for 3%'er patches. Here's the patch design. Does anyone recommend a custom patch company? As soon as I find someone to make the patch I'll let ya know, and take orders. Edit: I'm thinkin' round patch... edited by Glitch on December 15, 2003 |

Someone sent the above image around the local net on this Monday morning as I was also just reading about this 3% patch thing. Weird timing. |

How about that design as a post cart or Christmas card. We would send them out both to dealerships we like to say thanks for the good stuff, and to the bad shops to say "just thought I'd drop ya a note to remind you that you lost my business". Would make for a nice good dealership card though. |

as expressed by Tripper: quote:We all realize that Buell represents about 3% of your business, but most businesses I have been involved with work their tails off for the chance to grow 3%. Instead, HD dealers seem to deride the 3%'ers that come in the door and greet them with sneers and childish comments. What if they were treated well, and Buell became 6% of your sales? or 10%, and then we may have a trend in the words of Arlo.

quote:Lake_bueller Posted on Saturday, December 13, 2003 - 01:30 pm: We all knew the day was coming but I didn't think it would be this soon. I've been searching high & low for an S1 flyscreen. The internet (ie ebay, BWB, ATB, etc) has been a bust. So I go the next route...contact a dealer. After 15 minutes of sayings like "What's an S1?", I finally get someone that knows a little something about Buells. A quick search shows parts numbers for the "fender" that's what it's listed as in the Buell parts book. An even quicker type of the number shows the part is only $49 in primer and $70 painted!!! BINGO...I've found my part for less than ebay prices Now comes the kick in the nuts..... The part is OBSOLETE!!!!!!! H-D decided there were too many bikes in the Buell line to carry replacement parts. Now I'm back to the drawing board. I'll probably end up spending too much on a part with damage just because the Motor Company doesn't have a big enough warehouse. For cripes sakes, they only stopped making the bike 6 years ago. Sorry for the rant Pissed off and cold, Dennis ===== Buckinfubba Posted on Saturday, December 13, 2003 - 02:19 pm: I will say this as gently as possible. YOUR DEALER IS A GOD FORSAKEN FRIGGIN DUMBASS IDIOT. ===== Tripper Posted on Sunday, December 14, 2003 - 10:26 am: We all realize that Buell represents about 3% of your business, but most businesses I have been involved with work their tails off for the chance to grow 3%. I'm gonna get a patch made that says that. And put next to my Step Child patch...

Couldn't leave out the Bubba quote, which by the way would make for an excellent T-Shirt logo at some dealer's meeting, perhaps the winter shindig? I wonder, who by any chance would risk wearing such a shirt? Hmmm.... I believe just such an individual is headed to Florida any day now, hmmmm.
quote:I will say this as gently as possible: YOUR DEALER IS A GOD FORSAKEN FRIGGIN DUMBASS IDIOT.
Yep, would make a mighty fine t-shirt.

What is the Step child patch? A friend of mine and I were at a local HD Buell shop, not getting any where fast, and he told one of the service guys not to worry about the long wait, he was used to being a step child. So it's really just an inside joke. But may become a real patch!

Court, Henrik? Those TeamElves patches are first class. Got a contact? Glitch; the colors you have chosen perfectly match the Buell patch many alreaady have on our jackets. Don't change a thing, and don't solicit any suggestions (or this thread will turn into the perpetual 20th anniversary poster thread). Call me if I can help. edited by tripper on December 15, 2003 |

Ok... Bigdaddy and I are working on getting the patches made. As soon as we know more, I'll let ya'll know how much they'll cost and how to order them. Bubba: It's ok, you only say what you're thinking. It seems to be a lost art these days.
