Anybody have an iso compressor tool you are willing to loan/lease? If I break it I will buy you a new one. I have to install new belt and new rear isolators on my 2000 M2. Thanks, JiM2 |

Wait for buellistic to chime in - he has a how to doc on how to do this with a home-made and cheap tool which does a better job than the official H-D part. |

What Xl1200R is referring to is the "Unauthorized 'Scott Free' Technique for Changing Buell Isolators" seen here http://danielcstarr-pages.blogspot.com/2008/09/una uthorized-scott-free-technique-for.html When I took mine apart, I just muscled it. It wasn't easy by any means, but it was doable. |

Thanks for the link! Actually LaFeyette did send me a bunch of info including the "Scott Free" technique; however, the pictures didn't come across. I bet he's already corrected that but I won't see my home email till later. When I posted for the iso tool loan I thought I still needed it. Now after reading close and seeing the pictures I feel better about this upcoming operation. Merry Christmas all JiM2 |

DO NOT USE A FRAME SPREADER...you WILL damage your frame be warned |

Would a frame spreader be anything like a blocked scissor jack between the passenger pegs? 'Cause that's what I did, it was a real pain. |

Jim, I'm pretty sure I've got the install tool if you need to borrow it still. Don't know how missed this thread. |

@Brunnitz, I already did the job per "Scott free method". It doesn't spread the frame, it forces compression of the left iso in order to remove the right iso. Here is a thread on my work http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/661750.html?1325819613 Thanks for the offer. Jim |
