I picked up this jack on Monday at a local car parts store (Pep Boys) for $59.99. Good quality -made in China of course. Steve |

Did it come with the crescent shaped supports that cradle the muffler? |

KC, The ad in the paper said Reg $79.99, on sale for $59.99. I made the support blocks myself. They are made from 3" thick PVC, CNC machined to a 8" radius with a 1/8" thick layer of neoprene glued in the curve. Steve |

Jerseyguy... Same request as Dasxb9s -- If you are at all interested in manufacturing the blocks, I'd be willing to buy a set from you as well. |

Me too, those blocks would be great. I already have one of those lifts, they were selling them in Costco a year ago for 69.95. I have thought about using the lift on my S, but i was concerned the weight might deform the pipe PS Jersey, I live in the Tristate area, so I would even come and pick them up |

Nice, It looks like the bike is being lifted by the exhaust pipe....I was wondering how to lift them... Jack |

There are two marked lift points on the bottom of the exhaust. Real handy. Took me a while to figure that one out. |

Looks quite similar to the jack I got from Harbor Freight for my Wide Glide only mine is yellow. Is currently on sale for $59.95. You just gave me an idea for making mounts for my X1. If it works, I am off for another jack. Ugh, I hate winter storage. |

I've got to check on the material cost for the PVC. I got those pieces out of my leftover stock. I'll get back to you on it. Steve

As A wise bad weber once said to me when I bought a stand like that. "How are you going to change your muffler, or tranny fluid with that under yer bike" 2 words, "Handy stands" Check em out. $99 front and rear. A few more bucks but alot more practical and user friendly for a buell. |

And you'll have to modify the Handy Stands to because the left fork tube is longer then the right by about a 1/2 inch.I had to cut the end off and add a section then put the end back on.Thats on XB forks the stands work fine for tubers. |

I purchased a similar jack from Sears for $89 on sale. Unfortunately, my XB9SL is too low. The muffler is about 1-2" lower than the jack support. |

DC, Get a couple of 2x6 pieces and push the bike up on them. Then the jack might fit. Steve |

I looked at the handy stands, but they've added a warning to rear stand the order page directed at XB bikes: http://www.handyindustries.com/urws.asp Otherwise, $100 for the pair is a good deal... |

I have a L-P rear stand (paddle type). It has worked very well for over a year. I want to get a Pit Bull for the front. |

Steve, thanks for the idea. I made these out of aluminum. Have since cut them down a half inch on top and bottom. I am trying to locate a lift that will yield better clearances. |
