So I hit a deer with my 08 xb12xt and I am very blessed to say I didn’t go down! However I need to know where is the best place to buy parts for the front end. I will call the dealer next week but I was wondering if I should check any other sources? I am looking for the two magnesium casting that support the gauge cluster, Buell calls them Left and right modules. Thanks! |

Check out buellsterparts dot com, they have the lightning modules I know, but I'm not certain about the Uly modules off the top of my head. Good luck & I am glad to hear that you got through it ok. |

Buellster parts is great if you like overpaying for used parts. Any Buell dealer can order them up for you, and I know some of the sponsors here like Precision HD give discounts. |

I got my left side module from Al at American Sport Bike. Sponsor here. Don't remember price, but you can't put a price on customer service. |

I had a similar incident not too long ago: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/518109.html?1259428430 Wish I could remember the vendor I used, but it was a BadWeb sponsor. Their service was commendable, and I hope they forgive my poor memory. Three hundred bucks worth of parts for the bike, 1300+ bucks worth of stitches for my passenger, and all was well. |

Even though it's probably not listed on the website, I would call Al at american sport bike. If he doesn't have it he can tell you where to get it. plus he's a great guy to do bussiness with. |

Them deer can be a pain! My mother just called to tell me one ran into her car. She said she was going slow and saw it coming down a hillside so she stopped. Obviously in the wrong place as it ran right into her stopped car! No damage, just a scare, but it makes me wonder if the deer get into some grasses that are fermented a bit. They can't all be suicidal or that stupid. Sobriety testing on deer, the next big thing. |
