For all of you who either contributed or were interested, the first two videos from CrotchRocket.TV are now online. If you gave money you should see your name in the credits at the end of each movie. Go here: http://crotchrocket.tv/s02-e1190RSp5.html |

has anyone done a 'beginner's track course' in / around colorado? any recommendations for where to go? I'm getting comfortable enough on the 1125 that I want to push it a bit more, but not on the street, and would like to learn some new techniques, feel just how far the lean angles are,etc |

There are a few in the area. The closest to Colorado Springs would be an MRA event at the Pueblo Motorsports facility. I don't know what their up coming schedule looks like yet. There should also be a few beginners scheduled up at the Highplains race track. Do some googling for MRA and those two tracks and you might find some more info. |

Thanks, will have to look them up. Never did a track day before, but I have taken a lot of courses for cars and trucks and learned something new each time. Vehicle Dynamics Institute (http://www.vehicledynamics.net/) was amazing. Would love to spend time with the motorcycle professionals and learn a thing or two in a closed environment like a track. |

Rode today with Dan and Brian to near Deckers. Brian's nephew was taking pics of us off the back of his Uly. Will post some pics when I get them. Great day! Roads still mostly clean from Pine Jct. Sand around the top of horsepower hill. |

Just got back from doing a loop of the Wet Mountains. Not much sunshine. :-( Stopped in West Cliff for some hot chocolate. While negotiating the twisties on my way to Wetmore the backend stepped out on me but I caught it flat tracker style, thank God for good boots! Cold tires I'm sure. |

Not as fun as twisties, ran the Uly to Cheyenne and back yesterday. West wind was scaring the crap outta me at first, almost turned back at Mead. Shortly it turned to a stiff tailwind. nice Of course that meant the return trip was into a headwind the whole way. Not getting to ride much with this new job. It's kinda kicking my old butt, the need for rest trumps the need for speed. When I do get out, I've been taking the Uly, Loretta has a failing fuel pump. This might be the winter to take her down for paint and repairs... I noticed last night, Guambra was talking about $100 track days at High Plains. Zack |

Jody, do you have any experience setting up a FTDI virtual comm port on a Mac? Apparently I cannot follow directions. Frank |

No direct experience but I just looked up the documentation for it. I'm not sure what your application for it is, but I would imagine you want to use their driver for the Virtual Com Port and not the programmable interface. When you download that driver package(.dmg) there are two packages within it and one is only for OS-X 10.3 so don't use that one. Call me at the 285 number if you want to describe more of the problem. |

No reason to bother you tonight. Next time you are up here I will hold your patches from the buell rally hostage so you can help me fix it. Yes you are right and in fact it will not let me install the older version anyway. My application is to talk to and control the transceiver. |

Ok, sounds like a plan. I figured it was a HAM project or an ECM tuning project. |

Jody - yes. Very excited at the prospect of 4 days off in a row. I guess Loretta's problem is intermittent, pressure looked good last Tuesday so I rode her with no problems. Sidewinds between here and Cheyenne were horrid, glad she was good to go. Doc said I had a Vitreous separation, no big deal, retina is in fine shape still. Back to bed... Z |

Zack, did you get out yesterday to ride? I'm going to try and get out later this afternoon. I may head north toward Deckers. |

Made it to Deckers! Pretty nice ride, though I stayed cautious and kept myself calm. Didn't see any gravel or sand really, which is good. By 3:30pm the temperature started going down, though. I'm glad I finally have a good set of cold weather riding gear. |

Utility runs on the Uly. No fun rides tho. 4 days of honey-dos, pigging out and naps. I did have a nice cigar and a half-pint of Dewar's on Friday. |

I am home from spending TDay in NC. I actually flew TDay and back yesterday. It was a short trip but the next one will be shorter. But, before I left I took Lynn to the Sprint store to start her journey to the dark side.
About half the spread on TDay at home. I was actually able to eat some of it but not much.... My brother did a great job.
A visit with Dad.
Next to where heros are laid to rest.
My brother and sister reading names on the wall
9/11
Beirut
Some other places around old Jville NC
I am going back home soon with Lynn to pick this up.

Nice pics Frank. Glad you had a great time back East. Dan and I had a totaly vegan Thanksgiving dinner. It was interesting to figure out what to make and how to make it but it was fun and tasted good. Now I have to get creative and figure out what to make for Christmas Nice car too. And I'm putting my pennies (haha) away to purchase EBR's stator set up for when (NOT IF) my stator goes out again. |

Thanks for the Christmas card Lynn! We will have to get together over the holidays. Ask Frank if he wants to go out to dinner or do something else. |
