i think I heard this story once. Who made the Buell S2 frames? didn't they have to farm some of them out later in the run, since they were not prepared for that much business? I have a friend who was asking who made the frames for Buell. I thought I would try and get him an answer. Also, I believe the welds are different on some s2 frames. some of the welds are all around the frame, while some welds are placed around the frame, if that makes sense...some are continuous welds, some are spaced out on the frame. "farm" it out is a pretty good description.

Wasn't there also a grouP of frames that had bad numbers? I seem to remember a service bulletin to this effect. |

Wish my memory wasn't so bad these days...but I'd swear I met the "frame guy" at HC '08...maybe? Or is my imagination working overtime again? |
