I don't own an 1125 but it's still fun to watch some of the threads and see how 1125 folks think. |

When I sold my '09 1125R, I bought a '10 Street Triple R. It is a really good motorcycle. I've put 10,000 miles on it in 2 short Mid-Western riding seasons. I've ridden it at 35 degrees and 109 degrees. The temperature stays the same on the coolant gauge! Nothing but oil changes and tires. This Summer, I came across a 2010 1125R. Local bike with 1800 miles on it. It is the 3rd 2010 1125R built. HD owned it from new for some reason, then sold it to a guy in MI, who sold it to the guy I bought it from. I enjoy it a lot and plan on putting an '08 charging system on it this Winter. As for the next bike? Hard to say, I have motorcycle ADD ! |

if money were no object you wouldnt have to sell your 1125 to afford the new two bikes.... I dont know. Being a full-time student really dampens money. If I had the same money I had when I bought the 1125 to spend on a new bike - try to find a uly. Or s1000RR. Prefer a new Uly though, that might be impossible though |

It changes from week to week. Kinda liking the Hypermotard 1100 Evo at the moment, but the M1100 Evo would be a better street bike, but for not much more money the V4 Tuono would completely kick ass, but if the next gen Super Duke is any good... |

Hell, if money were no object, it would be an Erik Buell Racing 1190RS! |

Maybe 1190RS, if I could afford one? I dunno. The list is long when talking about bikes I would like to have...I just don't have the garage space for them all. Here are a few, in no particular order: Ducati Monster Hayabusa YFZ450 Interceptor KLR 650 HD Street Glide S100RR Concourse R1200GS Then again, none speak to me deep down in the same way the 1125R does. I think I will just stick with the one I've got. |

Dont think I will ever replace the 1125 (provided we fix the damn stator!), but replaced one of two XBs with this....

Replace it? I may add to it sometime, probably with something made in the U.S.A., but I don't want to replace it. I love this thing! Larry |

If money were no object, then I'd buy a Vyrus. After the 1190RS had been in production for a few years, to ensure any issues had been sorted, I'd have one of those too. I must add, that out of my 7 Buells, my 'favourite' X1, is the best bike I've ever owned |

I would replace the stock '09 stator/rotor with an '08 setup and fix it once and be done with it. That's a lot less than any new bike. Maybe I can sweet-talk the dealer to go this route if they have to keep warranteeing the '09 stator every year? For me the white 1125R with upright bars, lower pegs, TT number plates and blue tinted Corsa windscreen is a comfortable, unique standout among cookie cutter sport bikes, IMHO. I wouldn't want to replace it unless EB R comes out with something really outstanding and affordable in the near future. Go Erik Buell Racing and American creativity! |

If I was going to replace my 1125R, it would have to be another liter-class sportbike. (I already have a Dayton 675, VFR800 and a CBR600F2.) I test rode an RC8R at MotoGP Indy and really liked it, although it felt down on midrange compared to the 1125R. The 1198 is supposed to be a bit stronger than the RC8R so I'd have to try it. So one of those would be my first pick. I might also try out the RSV4 but I'd probably stick with another Vtwin. Realistically, I couldn't justify the cash for even a used RC8R, but I might be able to get the wife to agree to an early 1198 if I found a steal on one. I definitely want a Diavel at some point, but a used one is several years away from a spot in my garage. And it wouldn't be a replacement for the liter-class sportbike in my lineup. |

1125 is irreplaceable. No one produces similar bike with a belt drive. The closest one with a shaft drive would be BMW R1200S, but I already have one. Another step up will be BMW HP2 Sport, but it's not much better than R1200S. |

Yugi, I rode my friend's HP2 Sport... that thing is PHENOMENAL. Not only is it better looking than the R1200S, it just flat out HAULS at almost any RPM. I just don't have the scratch to afford one for my garage. He actually got a smoking deal on it... he was going to the dealer to get the Aprilia RSV, but the dealer had marked the HP2 Sport down so it was in the same price range. I think he made the right decision. |

Having owned an '82 Kaw KZ 750 for twenty years I have always been intrigued with the '85 GPZ 750 Turbo's. My dad owned a '72 Kaw 500 Triple Two Stroke that had a wicked exhaust note to match it's acceleration. But if I had to get rid of my 1125R and purchase something else it would be a Ducati Monster, Triumph Triple, or HD XR1200R. I would have to ride them all to choose. My all time dream bike is the Erik Buell Racing 1190RS, bar none! |

I haven't tried HP2S, but they have the same geometry. The handling of R1200S is level down from 1125. 4 inches more wheelbase, 3 degrees more rake. |

Instead of buying an 1125, I bought a used Ducati 999S. I just could never get my mind wrapped around the pods, and I still can not. I am very glad that I bought the Ducati.
It was a lot cheaper than the 1125 originally sold for, and not much more expensive than the 1125 sold for at the end. It is just a better motorcycle in every regard, and very reliable too. Of course, it did cost twice as much as the 1125 when it was new, and has Ohlins suspension. Interestingly, the 1190 does resemble the 999s a lot more than the 1125. If I were a lot younger, and a lot richer, I would get an 1190 RS carbon in a New York minute.

i can not part with the 1125 that is until i see what ebr will be offering. rode the zx10r, didn't like having to wait forever for the power to come on, geared way too much for the track for me. |
