Sorry if this has been asked before. I've been away from the forum for a while. I'm coming up on the 12,500 mile service for my 09 1125R. Does anyone know an HD or other service operation in South Florida that has any experience with this service? So far I've called ALL the Harley shops from Miami to Daytona Beach. Not one has (or can remember that they have) done this service yet. |

Not hard to do yourself... and if you do not have the tools it is a good way to justify buying them. With the money you save doing it yourself you'll be way ahead. I personally would be terrified to let any of my local dealers perform this service. Not because it is difficult but it does require a bit of focus and attention to detail. My impression of most H-D dealers and their service staff is they just wish I would go away. todd |

Here's a post I started a few years ago when I did it the first time. Second time was harder, had to change 6 of 8 shims then... cams were all good tho. Zack http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/392174.html |
