park the bikes in the living room. You have plenty of room if you just slide the grand piano over a touch |

Bill, Check with local dealerships about storage, just ask exactly where the storage location is first though. Last year I was at one when a delivery of customer bikes arrived, brought up from Texas, and it turned out they were transported on an open flatbed trailer and the bikes were all covered with road salts and such. Don't know if that's where their storage location was or if it was just a large consignment shipment, but doesn't hurt to ask. Or just drive around the region. I see lots of signs up where people open up their barns for winter vehicle storage. But have good insurance, an indirect relative's friend lost several cars and an old Harley undergoing restoration at a barn storage when the barn burned down last winter. Or just get a self-storage unit. The one up near where I used to live was fairly good and the rates for a bike-sized unit should be under $40/month. |

I am still looking into becoming a distributor for a double-decker garage bike unit I saw this summer. Cost and storage of units pre-sale is the limiting factor at the moment. Might be another way to go though. $2500 and an open section of wall in your garage or patio is all that's needed. |

Thanks a bunch...But the piano stays right where it is. It makes a great Xmas tree stand and salad bar when Di isn't playing it. Plus, I can't get the bikes in without removing a picture window and that is out of the questions. Hmmm...back to the garage for more space engineering (read: mental masturbation). Oh geez, I have a headache already. Ugh... |

Thanks for the suggestions Mike. I forgot about the self storage units. Heck, Di even has one with her piano in it. Me thinks the problem is solved if I can't find a cheaper alternative. That lift they had at Hal's during the 100th was really cool and would help a lot especially if it would handle two bikes. The only thing I didn't like about it was that it just attached to the wall with no supporting legs for the platform. Can always accomplish that with some 4x4's but would prefer a free standing unit. |

What the....... I'm sitting here watching the news in NYC. Smack dab in the middle of the "Blizzard Brings Gotham to a Halt” feature, I get...."we interrupt this story". Apparently, based on sketchy reports from Milwaukee, CJ has a date or something. I'd ask for details . . . . . but, well . . . .as long as Charlotte is chaperoning, well what could go...ohmygawd....we're in trouble.

Not to worry Court. We are scouring the Martini Bars and Jazz Clubs tonight to insure she gets home safe. In the event, we don't find her...well, there is always "Dial-a-Ride." Now where do you think you would find a woman from Arkansas in a Cosmopolitan Hick Town like Milwaukee??? |
