I just bought a 2008 Blast with 280 miles on the odometer. I paid 3700 out of the door. I liked the way the bike felt. The way the weight is down low feels good. I did not want a fast or big bike so this one was perfect. This bike is fast enough and it has torque. I have had faster bikes but they usually leave too many stains in the shorts for me. I am trying to ride at a relaxed pace as I get older. Anyway I love the bike. |

Welcome to this board HeyZeus ... I' pretty "green" here myself. I bought my Blast just a year ago ... 2002, like new, only 1500 miles. I've put 5,000 miles on her in just over a year ... ride her to work and for local errands. You need to learn about the infamous "boot" ... rubber connection between the carb and the engine intake. 99% of all Blast! problems originate there. Fun little bike to ride & wrench. BTW ... I'm 66 and my other bike is a 2002 Goldwing !!! |

The Blast has given me a bad case of reverse snobbery! I love it! Search for the web site "whereismaggiemae." |

I got asked by others that know me why such a small bike? They have big heavy bikes. They have that idea that you need a big heavy bike to enjoy riding. I remember a time when all bikes were smaller and we did just fine. The bike snobs crack me up. Another guy just shook his head and walked away. |
