Well, went down last night. A car was traveling in front of me and hit his brakes and turn signal at the same time he started to turn. I hit his rear right bumper and dropped the bike.US and German police both said no fault last night, and no tickets were issued. I'll see what the insurance company says. The Happy Trails box took the damage vs the left side of the bike. Turn signal, wind screen mirror and the front tire rim is the list so far. My damage was a scraped knee and a messed up ankle as I believe the bike fell on it. Didn't feel it last night but this morning when I woke up. Had to "ride" with a front flat home 3 miles away, 5mph max. I didn't think it would cause any more problem as the rim is dented where the bead is and will have to replaced. So, now I go to the DR650 far transportation. Wear your gear and keep the rubber down. |

Glad it wasn't worse and you're still riding. Glad you didn't get a citation, too! |

Well it is good to hear the bike is good to go and that you were ATGATT. Still hurts though, some parts and time will have you good as new! |

Glad the results weren't worse than they were. Glad you weren't ticketed as well. I was taught that it was always the fault of the person who hit someone in the rear. |

The German police said the pain of losing the bike for a while is enough punishment. Also, the car I hit was in pretty bad shape body wise. |
