New to the boards but so far, this community has been EXTREMELY helpful. I figure I'll put this out there and see if anyone has an idea. I'm looking for two parts that google and local part places are unable to help with. The first is a side mount license plate holder. I'm looking for something Similar to this or would this work? If not, is there a solution or am I just SOL? Second item on my agenda is an integrated taillight so I can finish cleaning up the rear end. I have found a couple but for the most part, out of stock. I was hoping for some suggestions. Thanks in advance for your time! |

that may work off the spool on the swing arm.. as for the tail light .. I ran into the same and just made my own some abs sheet, little silicone, and some radiantz led strips..red and amber.. !! |

you could probably use the plate holder - even off the rear left spool or if you get a DHM style slider through the rear axle... American Sport Bike sells the equivalent now. http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/A9267.html for integrated tail light - are you getting rid of your stock brake light? I've used some super bright LEDs as blinkers and supplemental brake lights - Radiantz: http://www.radiantz.com/index1.html?1.html&1 like these - mine are red and amber for both brake and blinkers. hth - gl! Post pics of what you wire up. curious how you are trying to clean up besides getting rid of the dingleberry license plate holder and blinkers... |

I bought an integrated tail light off eBay for ~$40 and it's working well.. i still have the stock blinkers on too but the integrated light was bought back when rear blinkers were failing repeatedly (all good now) Try this (it's a bit more than I paid) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Buell-LED-Integrated-Tail-Light-Turn-Signal-Kit-Taillights-Firebolt-Lightning-/250904237011?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a6b0ed3d3 (Message edited by Jules on October 05, 2011) |

That's about it as far as the rear end. I want to drop the blinkers and integrate them with the taillight. I would have liked to find one that was also sequential like I have found for other applications but alas no. The suggestion by Jules appears to be the best fit. As far as the side plate is concerned I will need to research it. Is this required http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/A9267.html ? |

I have never seen a production side mounted plate holder for our bikes, but there have been some custom made ones that people have done and mounted to the belt guard or caliper mounts. As for the tail light, you can't do any better than the XB Lights units, I have two of them, well worth the coin. |

I would just fabricate your own. I have made several for different project bikes and they are easy enough. Yu don't need a welder if there is not one available to make a nice bracket and light setup. |

+1 on the XBLights. They are a bit spendy, but the quality is worth it. I've had Clear Alternatives lights on another bike and the reliability has been crap. I have had to replace the board twice. I have spent more on my "half price" lights than the XBLights cost. They are worth every penny. |

Going to the XBLights webpage it says they are out of the smoke lens(which looks great) and only have a few clear lens left. Ideas? Should I go with the clear or attempt to find a smoke in another brand? And what brand is sold on Ebay? |

I have clear and I'm very impressed with Robert's build quality at XBLights. I have the first one he did for the 1125s and it has worked flawlessly since day one.

I can't say enough good things about the XBLights either. I have two, and they're both incredible units. They're stupidly bright, and I've noticed a very significant reduction in tailgating since I installed them with the flasher module. I'd absolutely recommend them, 100%, for anyone looking for a better Buell tail light. As far as the clear/smoked lens... I just use the red one. I don't really care for the clear look. They're stupidly bright either way. |

try this guy out of Quebec Canada. I have this on my bike and it works great. Get the clear lense though, I didn't and wish I had. |

Zack, What rear fender eliminator do you have on your bike? |

Nick - I made my fender eliminator - 1/8" aluminum plate, cut and hammered to fit the hole and a piece of 16 Ga 304 SS for the plate carrier. Took about a week to make all the parts and assemble. Z |
