Everybody !!! I just took this class sponsored by NC Law Enforcement agencies. I took my class in Durham. It consists of an eight hour training, including a bike inspection and then a short observed ride, followed by a long observed ride. The guys who taught it were pretty low key. It is based off of a BikeSafe London campaign to reduce motorcycle fatalities. North Carolina is the first state to offer it in the US and they hope it will go national. If it gets really popular, they might start charging a small fee to cover costs... but it is free at this point. Durham PD Officer Gore said they can do classes for groups together (like C3). Up to 14 participants at a time. PLEASE let me know if anyone is interested. You could get a 10% discount on your MC insurance after you complete the course. They may be able to add one in November if we get enough interest. FAMILY MEMBERS are also welcome !!! http://www.bikesafenc.com/ http://www.bikesafe-london.co.uk/ |

There is one that still has space on November 4th in Raleigh. I would really encourage you to sign up for it Mark. You will not regret it. They will even tell you about some of the new pro-mc laws if you push them a little bit. |

His phone is probably dead. I left around 11:30 and he seemed to being doing fine. Made a 3%er out of his daughter last night... put a smile on Oldog's face. |

Keep up the recovery, Jim! For those who don't check out the Old School Buell section, there's a new owner of an S2 in Raleigh - and not just any S2 - a customized S2! He's up for laying his eyes on some other Buell's, so hopefully some of you that are a little closer to Raleigh can PM him and get the first impressions out of the way. I'm sure any C3'er will give a fine first impression! 1313 |

ANYONE doing anything for Halloween ??? I'm gonna try and raise the dead again. I swear I keep getting closer and closer to success every year... When you're expected to zig, zag I say... Seriously though, all I've got thus far is a Halloween party put on by some old/new colleagues on the 22nd. I don't think I'll be interested in going to Greenville this year - that scene just ain't fun anymore. Ever since the Strawberry Shortcake experience it just isn't the same anymore. I'll probably celebrate the actual night, but not sure about the weekend prior. I think at some point it may involve some Absinthe. Unfortunately I won't be ready to host a party this year, but 2012 will DEFINITELY be the year! Just look for the , 1313 |

WE GOT OUR ROAD FIXED!!!!!!!!! I sense a road trip to Hatteras coming on ! Are the ferries running from Cedar Island out to Ocrakoke yet for tourists ? Is there still a back yard to pitch a tent in, Donnie ? I am thinking 'someone' might need some quality time with the Piglet !!!
