I know I am in the wrong place here but this is where the 1125 folks are. I want to get a pair of 1125 pod covers to experiment with but don't want to destroy my pristine originals. |

I want to vent the pods and see if that will bring the cooling temperatures down. $120.00 to experiment on does not seem like such a good idea. |

I'll sell you my old ones but one has scratches from a zero-mph drop. Mine are from an '08 and black, and has 13k miles on them. I don't know how much they are worth. Give me a reasonable offer if interested. Email: rogue_biker@cox.net |

You probably already figured this out, but just in case: There really is not much cooling benefit in cutting up the outer pods because the inlet air is contained and channeled by the louvers to the radiator. Unless you cut holes in the louvers, there really is no way to get air from the outer surface of the pods to the radiator. |

I was thinking about maybe "adding" some vent holes in the rear or back cover towards the rear after the fan. But have since rethought my earlier idea. Reason being if I did this than I think less air would be forced through the radiator and out the fan like it is now and I would end up with more heated air out the rear of the pod and closer to my knees and lower legs. |

Just hop on eBay, you can usually find them slightly scuffed up on the cheap. Or find someone who deals in lots of salvage parts selling a nice set and asking if they might have some damaged ones lying around. |

JDugger reignited this in my mind from his: Posted on Thursday, September 29, 2011 - 10:30 am: "I use the Generation One ram-air set up. It's amazing how much cooler the bike runs at race pace vs. OEM." http://www.flexi-glass.com/buell.cfm |
