So ive looked around the board followed some leads but so far I'm at a loss to what is wrong with my buell.

It's been running like a champ until last Thursday. Road it home from work went home to change and then headed to go meet up with some friends after work. On the way there I came to a stop light and when the light changed to green I notice as I gave it more throttle and eased off the clutch it started bogging down. I gave it more gas with no avail and then held the clutch back in it finally got out of the bog reved to 6k then evened out and started running normal didn't not or anything else wrong with it until I got ready to head home 3 hrs later. Bike had a lot of trouble starting when it finally did start it wouldn't idle. So far the only way to keep it running is after starting get it to 2k+ rpm runs fine then can ride it no problem but as soon as I let it idle it'll either die or idle for around a min or so at around 500-1k rpm before cutting out.

Steps taken.
1. Checked battery and replaced(old battery voltage 11.8) Current voltage 12.0+
2. Checked o2 sensors voltage fluctuated within parameters
3. Ran tank down and refilled with new fuel

Any help would be much appreciated.

3.

go into diag mode and monitor your fuel pressure while this is happening. when you can keep it running and ride it, is it low on power?

I've reset the tps and the voltage seems fine and it rises smoothly from %2-100 I'll check the pump when I get home today should I be paying attention to the voltage or the fuel kpa?

The fuel KPA should be around 480 before starting the bike.

If I had to take a guess, I would say your Idle Air Control is the culprit, it may be clogged not allowing air in, or it could be broken

How can I trouble shoot that?

Alright just got home and got into the diag mode.

View codes:
IAC sys error p0506
Rear o2 sys error p0151

On start:
IAC step - 157 drops to 111 and peaks at 240 right as it dies

Fuel kpa- 40- peaks at 480 then as the rom stabilize down near idle it drops to around 400 and dies

A hunch says the breather tube that connects to the right hand side of the throttle bodies, it's the idle control valve breather thing, don't know actual name, I'm guessing it's popped off and throwing it out of spec causing it to cut out.

alright took apart the air box and what i believe to be the IAC is completely missing the hose that connects to the air box and theres another hose in-between the throttle bodies and the seat, i saw in another picture that its connected to a rectangular shaped housing with a filter of sorts. that hose was disconnected from the rectangular piece and missing the filter.

edit:
the crank breather is what i was referring to.

Ran some sea foam through the IAC to clean it out seems to be idling correctly going to run a couple more treatments to make sure it's cleaned out. I'm going to try and rig up a new hose to go from the IAC to the airbox.

Dburk,
Believe there are two hoses. One with the rectangular filter is the crank case vent. The other hose the nuzzles up next to the throttle linkages is the IAC hose - doesn't have a filter on the end though.

The iac hose is gone don't know how long it's been missing. The case vent hose was disconnected from the rectangular part, which was just laying there waiting to disappear too.

Just now got off work, so I'm headed to autozone to make a temp hose for the iac hose and find a filter medium for the case vent.
