That's a great video, straight into my 'How To' library. Thank you.

Once you figure out the sequence, these bikes come apart fairly easy.

The hard part, IMHExperience, is putting it back together and getting everything stuffed back into the proper place without pinching, uncoupling, leaks.

great video.
I had to do a frame swap on mine.
A word of advice, next time don't remove the electronics from the sub frame, instead, slide the subframe through the frame as you lift the frame off the bike.

Also, when removing the front end; remove the upper triple tree and let the front end slide off the bike, much easier then the service manual's method.

For some reason I was thinking the frame removal wouldn't be as messy as it appears. I thought that there were enough electrical disconnects to separate the main harness from what comes off the engine and just lift the entire frame/subframe and front end off as one unit.

I'd think long & hard about using a JB weld patched frame/tank. Is the frame lined on the inside to seal it? Can it be welded with a tig welder? I understand cleaning/flushing the tank prior to welding it, just thinking out loud really. The fireball comment is what makes me concerned for your safety.

Yeah, that's the way I do it too.

Yeah Dean,

My frame had a small puncture, just fumes leaking, but I didn't chance it, I replaced the frame.
No welder wants to touch our frames because they double as the gas tank.

I will certainly keep a close eye on it. I don't see any real chance of a catastrophic failure. More likely a hairline crack which would seep at first. We'll find out in a week or so.

Rob - nice video. like the amount of detail you can squeeze in short time! Good music w/o being obnoxious.

Saw your crash post - sorry to see it happened, but looks like you know what to do to fix.

Best of luck and look forward to next videos!
