My 2008 1125R hit the 20.5k mile mark. It just passed the last Service Engine milestone (4k miles from 12,500 miles) and the Service “Trip” Meter has now gone to a negative 150 miles! It’s a bit out of whack because I got the bike from its first owner with 13k miles on her but the IC was replaced and the dealer could NOT set the new IC with the old data so the IC was installed with zero miles on it. However, I know for a fact the bike has 20.5k miles on it despite what the IC says. I just add 12,500 miles to the existing miles on the current odometer. I am at work and do not have access to my Service Manual. How do I re-set the Service Meter on the Instrument Cluster? BTW, I did change the oil and filter and all the necessary checks about 500 miles ago. |

It is in the setup menu on the cluster along with the time and other settings. |

Haha, I was wondering this this weekend also, my race bike keeps telling me to service it. I never think to do it when it's not race weekend. |

It's also in the OWNERS manual. |

Yes thank you for reminding me. I did mention that I am at work and rode the bike so I wanted to reset it before heading home today. I don't have OM in the bike. I have flat tire repair kit and tool kit. |

You have an owners manual here too, no excuses. |

Is it still here? I keep mine under the seat so I haven't looked in a while to see if the links still worked... Rogue - sorry. You mentioned you were at work, but didn't have access to your SERVICE manual. Thought you might have your owners' with you. |

No need to be sorry, I knew what you meant. I normally always have my OM with my bike. But the 1125R and my XB has NO ROOM to store it in unless you sacrifice your tool kit and flat tire repair kit. I've had a few flats and a couple of instances that I needed those tools to get back home, so those go with me at all times. I hate walking! |
