Ah,no thanks. Actually, they *finally* fixed my bike. Now all I have to do is go out to Missoula and get it. They say it was the fuel pump. So I'm shooting out this Friday to get it and ride it back. Wish me luck. And that thing's way overpriced. $9K? (Message edited by skifastbadly on September 26, 2011) |

So where are all the Police bike bits at, cause I don't see even see lights on the brush guards? Rare indeed. |

That's a nice bike. I wish my XP was black, but the white is nice too. But if you have an XP, you have to get the lights. I have the Red/Blue kit on my bike. |

I got a friend in Enumclaw that has a police model for sale with less than 6000 miles on it. PM me and I'll give up his ph#. I'm not sure of the price, but it has got to be less than $9000. EDIT: Just called my buddy and it IS his bike. It is on consignment, and that is why the ad was put in by a dealer. His son has a standard XB12X for sale too. PM me if you want the owners ph#....... SFB - Glad the Uly is fixed, and hope the recovery goes well. No offense intended by the original post, but wasn't sure if you'd been successfully weened off the Uly kool-aid yet, and those XPs are pretty rare. . . I'd be on that one in a minute if I was in the market, but not at $9k. . . |

SFB- glad bike is fixed; I hope the trip home goes smoothly and helps make up for the previous CF somewhat. I find it odd that we saw problems with some of the 06 fuel pumps (wire rubbing through and shorting; easily remedied), then the 07's and 08's seemed to be flawless, then the 09's started cropping up with random fuel pump failures requiring fuel pump replacement. Do you suppose they tried to cut costs and wound up with a cheaper, lower QC fuel pump? |
