I spy an aluminum oil tank. Do you have problems with your tire hitting the tank? Also, you can't fit a hugger on there either can you? I can't. |

Tyre doesn't hit the oil tank and it only goes out in the sun so not too worried about the hugger. It rides like a dream. I have wrecked the post now somehow. |

Nice looking ride! Brin, I don't have any issues with My S1 tire hitting the aluminium tank. |

How did you get that great look to the header? |

Mytuber - Polish the header. Makes it beautiful, I had my Supertrapp muffler polished by a shop that specializes in that work, cost about $150 with the touch up they did on my already polished headers. Golden color comes from the pipe heat, natural effect on the stainless steel. What kind of motor mount is that? (Message edited by littlebuggles on September 18, 2011) |

If he has pictures of how the bike looked when he got it you would be even more impressed I thought it had been used as a boat anchor from the bits I saw on a shelf. |

Actually the mouse-ear mirrors kind of go with it. I like the little photographer reflected in the swingarm. |

Thanks Daywalker. Mouse ear mirrors aren't going anywhere, I like them and they work. I make the mounts and mine is anodised black. Headers do look great, just polished, i have done the same with a full race kit exhaust, can and headers but its hard to think it will look much better. Headlamp brackets are stock 2001 items and I don't think I will change them as they suit. That said, still making my mind up whether to fit a pair of new x1 upside down forks, billet yokes and more to it, seems wrong yet as it rides so well. Andy |
