I am needing some info on the installation of flexiglass on my 08 1125r. I have the bodywork mounted but had some questions as to the relocation of ECM and tip-over switch. My bike seems to run fine with the tip-over completely removed. Is it fine to run without one? And also this body kit call for the removal of the inside and outside radiator covers. That means no fans..is this OK does anyone run this setup and is there any overheating issues? |

Street or track? No fans on the street is a bad idea, very bad idea in fact... On the track they may insist on the BAS being there, but I doubt they'd actually check and it does depend on the track.. Here in the UK they wouldn't care but some of the US tracks are a little more rigid in their application of safety rules. |

Run without the BAS is fine. I don't have one. |

I liked the factory sippy cups better. I'd recommend Thomas the Tank Engine. He's a very useful engine! (Forget who, but one of the race teams was using a kids sippy cup as an overflow container... which, aside from the grief factor, is an outstanding idea.) JD, I thought the CMRA rules required a tip sensor safety type of cutoff. |

Could you make your picture larger? It hard to see the detail |

> I thought the CMRA rules required a tip sensor safety type of cutoff. I don't believe so. You have to have manual kill switches for sure, though. A couple of riders wear "ejected rider kills", but I don't. This bike is pretty good about choking out when it turns over, honestly. |

I just got my flexiglass set up no instructions. Does anyone have detailed pictures and why did you need to move your ecm? |

YOu have to move the ECM because there's not place to put it in the flexi kit. I have a little bracket that holds mine -- screws into one of the frame spots now open when you remove the oem bodywork. |

The reason I asked is I have the street version of the Flexiglass and it seems to cover the ECM just fine. I removed the OEM pod and removed the front grill and remounted it. then laid the flexi side panel over the top of the rear "trailing edge" of the grill and secured the panel. It seems to cover the ECM ok. Is it possible there has been a design change or am I missing something. Thanks |
