Got home. Heard a hissing noise. Great And of course I discover a piece of rolled up metal sticking out of the rear tire. What should I expect? Milwaukee streets are so full of f***ing garbage it was bound to happen. So I have dealer close by that can install a new one but I'm curious if anybody has recommendations for getting it there without losing all the air on the way. Should I put a tire plug in it so I can limp it there? Should I get the front replaced as well to match the new rears handling capability? Im thinking about getting Michellin Power Pilots. Also, any tire recommendations are appreciated. I wasn't too found of the handling with the Corsa IIIs anyway. |

You can plug it if the hole s not too big. I have had to do that on one occasion in route to las vegas. I have been running pirelli angels front and rear. I'm on my 2nd rear with the current front. Both were new in April and the rear replaced this month. Good grip hot and cold and a nice round profile |

I just got my rear replaced. Still have the stock corsa on the front but got the Michelin PR3's. Can't say enough good things about it. Love the tire, very grippy. If you don't mind waiting a couple days you can get them on amazon right now for 169.99 with free shipping! Can't beat that! |

A plug from the outside (stickey rope type deal) will probably be fine to get you to a local dealer. Just stay aware and don't go fast. |

Had the same thing happen in Waukesha! Ended up plugging it with a car tire "rope" type plug and limped it to the shop for new front and rear. |

plug it - limp to shop and replace. how does your front look? I typically go through 2 rears per front, so wouldn't change unless you need it, or want to switch to a new set. running PR3's fr/rr and really like them. Maybe not as sticky as D3's but great life so far. |

plug it till the tire wears out Really? I'm a sketchy on that but if it's worked for others I'm willing to try until the Corsa III is wasted. Done that for cars many different times but never a bike. The front is in pretty good shape. My concern is the handling factor from upgrading to a rear tire with a different compound and stickiness while having a front tire that may not have as much grip. If I take a hard turn, like I love to do sometimes, I'd be afraid of the front sliding out. Jesse |

I wouldn't on an 1125. And I would only consider it if it was one applied from the inside (pull tire, patch from inside with professional patches). I did it on an M2 and an XB9sx with no problems though (the inside patch, not the outside ones). Once I ream the hole and put in the sticky rope, it's "ride it to the garage" and no further. Especially on a 120HP sportbike. |
