Purchased a used Erik Buell Racing Top Triple, wondering if the torque on the aluminum stem nut is the same as the factory steel one. Anyone have info from an installation sheet for this triple clamp? Thanks |

i don't see why the torque vqalues on teh stem nut would be any different, since it is putting force on the neck bearings. make sure you touque that with the weight of the bike on the steering stem, and with the top tripple tree fork clamps loose. .... just do it like the book sez. i'm sure i forgot something. and is that dry or wet torque? alls i know is it is easy to make a mistake and torque stuff out of sequence (Message edited by nillaice on September 17, 2011) |
