I am trying to load a different fuel map onto my X1 with the stock ECM. I have all of the stock settings saved. When i load up my stock config and update the fuel map and burn just the fuel map, i get errors in the trouble code section and the bike wont run. What am i missing? shouldnt I be able to just burn the new fuel map to the ECM? |

Just burn the maps to the ecm, leave the eeprom alone. if you do change the eeprom then you will have to do a tps reset. |

There is the issue. I burn just the map and i get all the trouble codes. it is almost like it is making eeprom changes even though im telling it to only burn the maps. |

does the .msq file you load have both fuel and timing maps included. Is your battery fully charged. Can you load your old maps back into the ecm and everything is ok ? Possible corrupt ecmspy program, or connection problems, have you done this in the past or is it your first atempt to alter things with your ecmspy program? I can send you an x1 eeprom or race maps if you need them (will need you e mail address). |

I am able to restore everything back just fine. I will try to uninstall ecmspy and see if that helps. I would like to look at your maps, i will pm you my email address |

Thanks for the files. Unfortunately it does the same thing. I tell it to burn only the map, it writes the maps successfully, then it tells me different error codes. that the fuel pump has grounded out, the head sensor has grounded out. |

Even if i change 1 value on the map screen and burn the map it does this. What am I doing wrong? |

I dont think you are doing anything wrong, its simple as click file, then click load map, kennfeld folder opens, highlight the maps you want then click open. You then click 'burn maps', confirm with 'yes' ,toggle ignition, job done. I aint got any futher ideas on where to go next other than try another ecm. best of luck. |

have you considered that you may have a different version of the ecm? the map write altering the memory space for the error codes sounds like the map is being put in the wrong place check the ecm version and the firm ware version for it. |

Yes I did think of that. But I should be able to manually change my fuel map then correct? if i change 1 cell on the fuel map and save it, it will error. |

Not sure I understand when do you get the error codes. Do they come up when you start the bike and run it for a while or they come on without you even starting up the bike? If the former, how does the bike run/idle? If the latter, I'd lean towards a software glitch somewhere. Either way, this is most unusual. First for me. |

They come up before I even run the bike, It will not start until i revert back to the stock config. |
